Operation steps for steel coil packaging using Outside Diameter Protection Board
- Prepare Outside Diameter Protection Board, vapor phase rust-proof paper, plastic film and other materials according to the tonnage, width and diameter of the steel coil. Ensure that the strapping tape, tape and other tools are intact to avoid breakage or falling off.
- Lay the vapor phase rust-proof paper and plastic film flat, fold the edges along the circumference of the steel coil, and press them into the coil core 100~200mm. Fold 4 times and fix them with 300mm tape to form 20 uniform folds. Wrap the PVC electrostatic protective film on the outside of the anti-rust paper to enhance the waterproof performance.
- Install the plastic outer corner guard, seal the interface with tape, and overlap within 200mm without wrinkles.
- Install the plastic outer guard plate. The interface position of the outer guard plate should be controlled at 3 o’clock or 9 o’clock, with the opening facing downward, and the overlap should be sealed with cloth-based tape to prevent leakage.
- Install the inner peripheral guard plate (the interface is aligned at 12 o’clock), the outer steel corner guard (the weld is downward), the Outside Diameter Protection Board (the butt weld is horizontally downward) and the inner corner guard in sequence.
- The outer corner guards on both sides are pressed tightly with circumferential straps, the lock is located at 12 o’clock, and the middle strap presses the longitudinal strap to ensure that the raised part of the corner guard is knocked flat.
- Check whether the strap is tight, the position is accurate, and there is no breakage or deflection; the gap between the guard plate joints is less than 10mm, and the inner layer material is not cut.
- After packaging, check the steel coil identification and paste the label to ensure that the information is accurate.
